Jewelry Care

Each piece is hand-wrapped in gold-filled or sterling silver, with freshwater pearls and hand-selected semi-precious stones. Wear it often—but keep it dry. Do not shower, bathe, swim, or enter a pool, ocean, or hot tub while wearing your jewelry. Water, chlorine, salt, and steam can dull the metal, loosen the wire, and damage pearls. Apply perfume, lotion, and hairspray first; put the piece on last. After wearing, wipe it gently with a soft, dry jewelry cloth, then rest it in its velvet pouch, away from sunlight and humidity.

Never soak a piece, never use chemical dips, toothpaste, or an ultrasonic cleaner, and do not tug or reshape the wire. Pearls and many stones are porous; household cleaners, heat, and cosmetics should not touch them. Treated this way, the work will keep the quiet luster it had when it left the studio.

Store each piece in a soft velvet pouch so the wrap, pearls, and stones are not scratched by other jewelry.

Wipe gold-filled and sterling silver with a dedicated jewelry cloth. Do not polish pearls or porous stones with treated silver cloths—only a clean, dry, untreated cloth on those surfaces.
